Human story is a telltale description of agony and ecstasy. On the agony front, there are plenty of diseases that occupy the pole position. Medically, these diseases can be segregated into various heads. One of the top concerns of medical practitioners is infections pertaining to the various parts of the body. Let us try to work on the article in the light of skin infection and also understand how lymph nodes play a role in some of these infections. For instance, Lymphangitis is a syndrome of the lymph gland, much as the name suggests. Having said this, it causes eruptions in the skin. The blisters appear as streaks and cause a lot of agony. Lymphadenitis is another disease of the lymph which can find its source through the skin. Not many people know but kinds of leprosy in the warmer climates can also result from malfunctioning lymph and kill the combating power of the skin. In underdeveloped countries, lepers are still social outcasts and not many are fearless enough to indulge them.

Speaking on a generic turf, skin infections caused by bacterium can evolve from staphylococcus and streptococcus bacteria. Multiple stigmatic hair follicles can result in a carbuncle. Erythrasma, impetigo, cellulites are a few of bacterial infections of skin. Next are the broad based types such as eczema, vitiligo, albinism, leprosy and other taboo diseases.

Trying to unite skin with lymph nodes again, scrofuloderma is a disease of skin caused due to bacterial infection which is directly linked to infected and inflamed lymph nodes and joints. Heightened lymph nodes can also get lepromatous. Lymphatic drainage may occur owing to mycobactrerial infection. This can be manifest in form of papules and pustules. While a few skin lesions heal fast, others that are augmented by swollen lymph nodes might take a big time in healing. The skin lesions as well as lymphatic inflammation might not be over till a year or so. The same may be the case in cutaneous tuberculosis.

Lymph nodes and skin infections come in hand in hand during most cases. Partly, this is attributable to the fact that skin and lymph both cover almost the entire territory of the body and secondly, it is only natural that disturbance in fluid movement (caused due to malfunctioning lymphatic vessel) would result in all kinds of skin lesions.

Most of us believe that lymph node infections can ramify only up till lymph nodes or may cause throat infection or anterior cervical lymph node infections. The fact, as we see, presents itself in a rather gruesome light. Lymph can cause all kinds of disturbances and it can manifest itself even through erratic skin. It is very important for medical practitioners to track the root cause of the infections as the line of medication is completely dependant on correct prognosis. A delayed or incorrect prognosis might make the ordeal even more difficult for a sufferer.
